I am totally in love with these two Lipizzaner geldings Nemo and Nikon ❤️ Those two and Lene, their owner, did a wonderful job today.
Nemo (the first horse on the pictures) is diagnosed with kissing spine. When the horse has KS it’s extremely important to teach the horse to stretch all the way down so that the vertebrae can spread.

The horse needs to build up some muscles while working in this frame and then the vertebrae are supported by those muscles, when the horse, further forward in its education, is ready to work in a higher frame.
You should also take a look at the trot images. Look at how synchronized the diagonal pair of legs are moving.
Are these horses on the forehand? Yes of course they are. But that’s not because of the stretch. This is their very first session. They will need some time, working like this and then they will begin to step under more and push more with their hind legs. And then, even if they are in a stretch they will begin to lift in the wither area and because of that begin to look more uphill.
Absolutely wonderful horses to work with
