We have the horses at home with ourselves. They are on pasture 10-12 hours a day and always have the opportunity to go out to the paddock with grass. In winter we do not close them on the gravel paddock.. They always have one of the grass paddocks they can go out on. I believe it helps to keep their muscles strong. We would like to let the horses go out around the clock in the summer, but there are too many insects, so we think it's better they can get in the barn at night and get some peace.
The horses are fed primarily with roughage. As crib feed they get a concentrated vitamin and mineral supplement, slightly depending on the horse and season, supplemented with roepiller, green pills, alfalfa pills and grønhø or alfalfa. In addition, they always get omega 3 oil, biotin and MSM. In periods supplemented by B-vitamin and magnesium. We always mix the feed with water and let it pull. We use the PC-Horse feeding program so we can see if the horses get the right amounts of everything.
