Then we went to visit Gule and Susanne again.
Yellow gets worked off the ground. Here he stretches really well and Susanne is good at spotting when the tempo is too fast or too slow and therefore constantly tries to find the optimal rhythm for Yellow.
This lesson is with Black and Nathalie
Blacks are extremely forward and very difficult to relax. Nathalie and Susanne have spent a lot of time stretching him off the ground. It can now also be possible to get him to do so under rider. The problem is that he very easily goes behind the lot or sets up the pace very much.
My own arena is flooded, which is why it was super cool when Birgit asked if I wanted to ride her 7 year old Louis. In addition to being a pleasure it is also a great help for me to have ridden the horse, as it will be easier for me to help the rider.
In this post I will discuss several different things, inspired by my riding on Louis. There is a small video clip in the end of this post.
Here are pictures from the last lesson with Cody and Susanne.
Cody is definitely not the easiest horse I've worked with. But he is also the type of horse where one thinks that one day he will be absolutely crazy good.
I think we all have some things that we would like to change about our seat as we ride. We see ourselves in a picture or a video and can't help thinking it looks ugly. It needs to be changed !! Often we forget that the importance of our seat does not have anything to do with how nice it looks.
The way we sit is crucial to how well the horse can work. Many of the problems we feel we have with the horse could have been corrected if we corrected ourselves.
