When LittleGirl was four years old, I gradually started training her. I typically start by lunging the young horses in a halter, and like all the other young horses I have started up, she pretty quickly started stretching almost to the ground. I had never tried to get the horses to do it, I had just observed that they did.
When we ride the horse, we want the horse to follow the trail we ride. That is, when we ride through a corner or when we ride a circle, we would like the horse to bend along the track we are riding on. The horse must thus bend through the entire body, from the point between the ears and all the way to the tail.
Then we went to visit Gule and Susanne again.
Yellow gets worked off the ground. Here he stretches really well and Susanne is good at spotting when the tempo is too fast or too slow and therefore constantly tries to find the optimal rhythm for Yellow.
Dust on the riding track?
Many people struggle with a dusty riding course in the summer and a few years ago we found the solution.
Our riding course is 20 x 60 and for that we use 8 bags of Magnesium chloride of 25 kg.
